The ranking is Koivisto’s best in the World Cup. Four other Finns failed to qualify for big Air.
Freeski calculator Scrub Koivisto was sixth in the Big Air World Cup in Klagenfurt on Saturday. Three jumps were counted in the final, and Koivisto collected a total of 166.60 points. The ranking is Koivisto’s best in the World Cup.
New Zealand won the competition Luca Harrington (182.60), the second was France Timothe Sivignon (180.40) and the third of Austria Matej Svancer (174.50).
Koivisto says in Ski Sport’s press release that the race went well, but his thoughts after the race were still divided. He says that he believed in a podium place if the third landing is successful enough.
– It’s a shame, because now it was really close to reaching the hard places. Sixth place is not bad, but right now it’s sad when the better places were so close, he says in the press release.
Four other Finns failed to qualify. There were 10 calculators in the final.
