KuPSs streak in the Conference League qualifiers was interrupted

Tromsø IL advanced to the third qualifying round of the Conference League by beating KuPS 2–0 on aggregate. The second leg was played on Thursday evening in Tromssa.

Kuopio Palloseura’s streak in the Conference League qualifiers was cut short when the team lost to Tromsø IL from Norway in the second qualifying round. On Thursday, the team from Tromsø won the second leg with goals 1–0 and advanced to the next round with a total score of 2–0.

The people of Kuopio went on an away game trip to Tromsø chasing one goal, because a week ago the Norwegian team won the first leg in Kuopio with 1–0 goals.

Tromsø IL had a chance to strengthen their lead on Thursday in the third minute of the game, when the team received a penalty kick Samuli Miettinen from a breakdown. KuPS goalkeeper Johannes Kreidl however, kept his team in the game by saving Lasse Nordås corporate.

About half an hour later Jens Hjertø Dahl gave the home crowd a reason to celebrate by scoring the opening goal of the night.

The second half of the match was goalless.
