Awak Kuier scored 21 points as Reyer Venezia lost to Zaragoza in the Euroleague play-off.
In the women’s basketball Euroleague, the next group stage games started. Awak Kuierin Reyer Venezia started the next round as a guest of Spanish Zaragoza and had to bow out 56-64.
Kuier was his team’s number one player with 21 points and seven rebounds. Kuier is the fourth best scorer in the Euroleague with an average of 17 points and second in save statistics with an average of 1.4 saves.
The two-part playoffs started in the EuroCup, where the better overall result advances to the top 16. Sara Bejedin Szekszard also faced the Hungarian Uni Györ and has to go to the second leg from a 15-point deficit after losing at home 77–92.
Bejedi scored no fewer than 27 points. The back player’s hand got hot, as two-point throws sunk 5/6 and three-point throws 5/11.
