Kuala Lumpur Enac at ICAN 2024 new bilateral agreements signed

(Finance) – Very positive outcome of the Enac delegationled by President Pierluigi Di Palma and Eng. Claudio Eminente, Central Director of Economic Planning and Infrastructure Development Enac, also present were the representatives of the operators in the sector who, during the ICAO event dedicated to the negotiation of air services, ICAN 2024 (ICAO Air Services Negotiation), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia , from 21 to 25 October 2024, met with delegations from Mongolia, Malawi, UAE, Mali, India, Iraq, Nigeria, Seychelles, Togo, UK, Uzbekistan.

The event – explains the note – allowed the Italian delegation to establish new aeronautical relationships and to consolidate and expand those already started for the benefit of the sector industry and the connectivity of our country, allowing, in particular, the development of traffic from and for the airports of Milan (Malpensa and Bergamo), Rome (Fiumicino) and Veniceas well as for other destinations to and from intercontinental ports in our country.

With the signed Memoranda of Understanding, increases in weekly passenger and cargo frequencies have been envisaged, also with fifth freedom rights (the possibility of connecting multiple countries with the same flight), expansion of the route table and liberalization of charter connections.
