There was no sprint gold at home for Kristine Stavås Skistad.
Jonna Sundling sabotaged the World Cup party and made sure that the Norwegian left the ski stadium disappointed and saddened.
She also did something that received a lot of attention afterwards.
Jonna Sundling30, came to the World Cup sprint in Trondheim as reigning world champion and Olympic champion. She won the sprint and team sprint in the World Cup in Oberstdorf 2021 and in the World Cup in Planica 2023, in addition to the Olympic sprint in Beijing 2022. Jonna Sundling was superior in the World Cup sprint

– I knew she would do that. But I didn’t let myself be stopped by it, says Jonna in Viaplay after the victory.

Stavås Skistad’s move during the interview

She was asked to describe her feelings when she saw the picture.
– This is this I and Lage (Sofienlundcoach) has been trying to succeed throughout the year. It’s like a nightmare to see this. It’s a disappointment. So thank you so much for it!, She says.
Then she asked if she got the picture of the journalist, so that she can have it as a motivation picture at home. In order to occasionally evoke that feeling of revenge in the future.
– Can I take it home with me? So I can have it and look at it every day, she questions, after which she left the interview with the photo in one hand.
