Now the sprint star is crying out on social media and she receives support from her Norwegian fans.
The picture shows Sundling celebrate his gold while Stavås Skistad sits completely alone in the cold snow.
“When childhood dream is crushed,” she writes on Instagram.
When the ski World Cup started in earnest on Thursday, the red hot sprint would be decided immediately. One of the advance favorites, Linn Svahnhad been forced to submit a rebate already in the morning due to a concussion, so instead everything was about Jonna Sundling and Kristine Stavås Skistad.
No World Cup gold at home for Stavås Skistad

Last Sunday, three days after the defeat at home, Kristine Stavås Skistad shared a heartbreaking message on social media. She posted a picture from the competition, where she herself appears to sit alone and disappointed on the hill while Jonna Sundling celebrates the World Cup gold wrapped in a Sweden flag,
“When childhood dream is crushed,” the star writes on Instagram.
Norwegian support for Kristine Stavås Skistad
Kristine Stavås Skistad’s heart -crushing post has got many in the home country to try to comfort the star. It has aroused strong feelings in Norway.
“You are cruel anyway,” writes national team colleague Kristin Austgule Fosnäs.
“Awesome is you!” Writes the ski buddy Helene Marie Fossesholm.
“Both you and Johaug missed a few centimeters only – you will take it next time!”, Comments someone.
“With the whole of Norway in the back,” sends another as support.
“You’re totally awesome! We are just as much on you next time and in the future, thank you for giving us many great moments/experiences on TV, ”writes a third.
