When Norwegian Kristine Stavå’s Skistad angered all Swedish women.
Now she opens her mouth again with highly unexpected words about Linn Svahn.
The Norwegian sprint star Kristine Stavå’s Ski City has really become a big annoyance for our Swedish national team skaters. Partly because she is the only one who can really challenge Sweden when it comes to the sprint races, but also because of her controversial outing.
Tour de Ski brawl
At the end of 2023, Skistad revealed that she would rather not talk to her blue-yellow rivals in connection with competitions. During the Tour de Ski, the rift took a completely new turn and created an attention-grabbing spat between the Norwegian and several Swedish star skiers.

During the sprint in Davos fell Emma Ribom unfortunate after a duel with Skistad in the semi-finals and missed out on promotion. Sweden appealed to the competition jury and afterwards mocked the Norwegian with the following words to the Swedes.
“Go home and train. While the Swedes are in the jury room,” she wrote on Instagram.
Skistad’s mockery
It got both Frida Karlsson and Lynn Svahn to react strongly and fight back. They considered that Skistad’s mocking words were “disrespectful” and that she should have shown more consideration to Ribom, who had her race ruined.

Now Skistad opens her mouth again and this time she directs her words at Svahn. The Swede impressed greatly during the Tour de Ski, winning his first World Cup race in over 1,000 days and following it up with two more World Cup victories.
The words to Svahn
Linn Svahn has really had to fight to reach the top of the world again after double operations and two years of injury absence. Skistad now admits that she is impressed by the Swedish sprint specialist and the great rival in the tracks.
– She has had to go through a lot in recent years. I think it’s impressive that she’s come back. I know very little about how she has been. I wish her that it’s going well, says Skistad to the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.

Svahn is also extremely proud of himself after the success in the Tour de Ski.
– I have worked for this for a long time. I’ve never felt better, and then it’s nice to know that I can participate and win again. It has taken me a while to get here. It’s lovely now, but at the same time I feel that this is how it should be. Now it’s fun to compete again. Before, I could think “ugh, I have to compete”. It was because I was so bad, says Linn to the same newspaper.
