Now the Norwegian ski star beats back against all the harsh words.
Norwegian sprintess Kristine Stavås Skistad Come to the ski World Cup in Trondheim with high hopes, both from others and from itself. She was pointed out as one of the gold favorites in the individual sprint as well as the team sprint.
Skistad’s disappointment
They were also the only two races she went in Trondheim. But the gold dreams ended in great disappointment when Stavås Skistad “only” finished second after sovereign Jonna Sundling in the World Cup sprint.

The team sprint then ended in a Norwegian giant fiasco when Kristine and teammate Lotta Udnes Weng Only managed with a seventh place. Again it was Sundling who took home the World Cup gold, this time together Maja Dahlqvist.
Kristine strikes back

The Austrian World Cup rider Mika Vermeulen Went as far as to say that he “wants to vomit” and pointed out the Norwegian as disrespectful. Now Kristine Stavås Skistad beats back against the harsh words directed at her.
– I think it’s totally sick, really. I have to have the feelings I have. Nobody knows what I have been through recently, and what I want to achieve. I think people should feel what they want, and he (vermeulen) should also be a little careful about talking about me, she tells the Norwegian newspaper Nettavisen.
– I am very proud that I have struggled back. It’s a big performance, and I know that myself. I am investing in getting my revenge later in life.
“It’s so bad”
Stavås Skistad is really a unique personality in the ski world and she is never afraid to say what she thinks, whether she happens to step on her toes in passing. Nor does she care what others think and think about her.
– I actually think very little about it. If they want to spend their time finding out how I feel about things, they are happy to do it, she says in the interview.

It is still the missed World Cup gold in the individual sprint that stings most for the 26-year-old from Konnerud. What happened at the team sprint, she just wants to forget as quickly as possible.
– It is so bad that it is not really possible to be disappointed. It’s so bad … I really just wanted to come home after that, she tells the Norwegian newspaper.
