The duel with Stina
But what many have forgotten is that Kristine Stavås Skistad has also given up Stina Nilsson(!). Both of them were actually met in a forgotten duel from the Ski World Cup 2019 in Seefeld.

Then the Norwegian was a young World Cup debutant and Stina already established as one of the world’s best sprinters. But Stavås Skistad’s championship debut ended with an unfortunate case in the semi -finals when she tried to pass Nilsson in the tracks, see the picture below.
– It was great to be able to go in the World Cup. But it is a great shame that it happens, says the Norwegian in the television broadcast.
– I make a great semi -finals and solve everything perfectly. I was nervous at the end and manage to hang on Maiken (Caspersen Falla) and Stina (Nilsson) up the hill.

Then Kristine sent a clear pass to Swedish.
– I know I could have crushed her on the rally so it is incredibly sad to smoke at it, says Skistad and earlier in the quarterfinals she had beaten Stina Nilsson in a spurt duel.
– It was very fun to see that I am better than her in a spurt. She is the best in the world, it is completely unreal that I am so far behind and still manage to beat her.

In the end it was Maiken Caspersen Fall Who won the World Cup gold in sprint and Stina Nilsson had to settle for the World Cup silver. However, the Swede took revenge in the team sprint when Stina won the World Cup gold together with Maja Dahlqvist in Seefeld 2019.
