Moderate leader Ulf Kristersson promises Uppsala residents that a four-track railway to Stockholm will begin construction next term with a moderate-led government.

He made the promise at a press conference at Uppsala Central on Thursday.

The current Swedish government has included an investment in four tracks between Uppsala and the county border with Stockholm in its national infrastructure plan. However, the moderates state that S also wanted to see four tracks on the route as early as 2018, but that a decision on the start of construction has not yet been made and that the allocated money is not enough.
