Kristersson meets Sunak in Visby

The agreement will strengthen the countries’ cooperation in innovation, research, green transition as well as trade and investments. In the area of ​​defence, cooperation is being strengthened, among other things, in areas such as counter-terrorism and defense equipment exports, according to the press release.

The signing of the agreement is a consequence of the decisions taken when Kristersson visited London on 19 June this year.

The two leaders will also discuss security policy issues such as NATO and joint support for Ukraine.

The bilateral meeting is held in connection with Friday’s summit in Visby with leaders from the ten countries that comprise the British-led military rapid response force Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF).
