While Robert Pattinson has mastered the balancing act between indie and blockbuster cinema since his breakthrough with the Twilight saga and has sometimes donned a superhero costume for The Batman after films like Good Time or High Life, his former Twilight colleague Kristen Stewart has done the same rather comfortable outside of the mainstream. There she is in the starting blocks with, among other things, the revenge thriller Love Lies Bleeding.
However, a trip to the blockbuster epicenter par excellence – the superhero genre – is out of the question for Kristen Stewart. At least not anymore, because in 2015 the actress told Yahoo! Movies, can certainly be seen as part of the Captain America series. However, those days appear to be largely over. Because in the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Stewart now proclaimed that she “probably never in a Marvel film” would play along. In doing so, she revealed an exceptional condition.

Kristen Stewart doesn’t have a particularly rosy idea of making a Marvel film, because the personal aspect is often lost on her in the MCU:
It sounds like a f***ing nightmare to be honest. What comes out of it is this algorithmic, strange experience that has nothing to do with the personal. So I probably wouldn’t do it. But maybe the world will change…
However, the Twilight star added that she could change a certain director’s mind on the matter:
If Greta Gerwig If you asked me, I would do it.
Indie luminary Greta Gerwig made her breakthrough in mainstream cinema last year with the mega-success Barbie and will soon be re-releasing the Chronicles of Narnia series for Netflix. It cannot be ruled out that Gerwig’s path could lead her to the MCU in the future. Will Kristen Stewart receive a call from her after this statement?

Before Kristen Stewart possibly gets into the superhero costume for Greta Gerwig, the actress is in the starting blocks with her new film Love Lies Bleeding, which will reach German cinemas on June 13, 2024. The crime thriller with surreal elements celebrated its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was also shown at the Berlinale in the Special Gala section, where we already had the chance to see the film.
