A 15-year-old girl and a 30-year-old man have died in a short time after probably using the drug 3-CMC, which is also known as crystal.
The police in Hudiksvall warn that the drug or similar forms of narcotics may be in circulation in Hälsingland, reports several local media.
At the end of November, the girl was taken to hospital where she died some time later. About a week ago, the man died in hospital, with similar symptoms.
“Given the circumstances, it can be assumed that ingestion of the drug is the reason why they subsequently died,” says preliminary investigation leader Oscar Thorén in a press release on the police’s website.
The police tell SVT that they do not know if it is about overdoses.
– No, that’s what we don’t know. We also don’t know if it is 3-CMC, there are similar preparations that are not exactly 3-CMC – where you change the structure of the molecule, says Thorén.
At least one other person has been treated in hospital during the same time, with similar symptoms.
