Kremlin: Several countries offered to host Putin-Trump talks | News in brief

Several countries have expressed their willingness to host the Russian president Vladimir Putin and the future president of the United States Donald Trump’s negotiations between them, said the Kremlin’s foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov on Monday.

However, Ushakov did not reveal which countries have offered to host the meeting.

Trump, who begins his presidency in January, commented on the meeting with the Russian president on Sunday, saying the Russian president wanted to meet with him “as soon as possible.”

Putin also expressed last week at the annual press conference that he is ready to meet Trump at any time.
