The defense ministers of Russia and France had telephone contact during Sunday where they discussed the situation in Ukraine.
Russian Defense Minister Shoigu is said to have raised the concern that Ukraine would use a so-called “dirty bomb”, a kind of primitive radiation weapon in which an explosive charge spreads radioactive particles over an area.
However, no states have admitted possession of dirty bombs, which due to their limited effect are not classified as weapons of mass destruction.
