The Kremlin is now fighting back against reports that President Vladimir Putin has suffered a cardiac arrest.

– He is in good health, reports Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

In the past 24 hours, several rumors have started to spread regarding the health of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 71.

The Telegram account “General SVR” has on several occasions since the Russian invasion published several unconfirmed information about Putin’s health.

The latest was published on Tuesday and is about how Putin used doppelgangers to meet other world leaders while he himself was supposed to be in a private intensive care unit.

It was also claimed that he would have suffered a cardiac arrest but was then able to be revived.

But now the Kremlin is cracking down on the information that, above all, circulated on social media.

During a press conference, spokesman Dmitry Peskov says that Putin is both fit and healthy, according to the Guardian.

Regarding the rumors that Putin would use doppelgangers, Peskov believes that this information is “an absurd hoax”.

The Kremlin spokesperson continues the press conference by announcing that it is aware that more sanctions are on the way but that they do not scare Russia.

– We have lived under sanctions for a long time and are ready to live under them for another five to ten years, says Peskov.
