Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said Tuesday that president Vladimir Putin is open to normalization of relations with Finland if the Finnish government wants to rebuild them.
Peskovin described the relationships of the countries are now in a “miserable state”.
The reason for the misery is the Russian offensive war in Ukraine, which encouraged Finland, among other things, to become a member of the Defense League NATO. Russia described membership as a “historical mistake” when it was realized two years ago.
