Kramer with a heat victory in the team EC – was only fifth

Swedish Kramer had a solid race, with a strong sprint finish, and won his heat in 1.46.92.

But since it was decided to divide the sixteen runners into two heats, it was only enough for a fifth place overall in the competition, which is also part of the team EC.

Kramer ran slower than four runners in the second heat, which also contained four personal bests. The Swiss Ramon Wipfli won in 1.46.73, which was also a new personal best for him.

— It’s a difficult competition to lay out tactics for. They are seeded heats – so everyone in my heat is more even. My first goal was to take home the victory in my heat, but now the time was unfortunately a bit slow, says Kramer to SVT.

Emil Blomberg was responsible for a great effort in the 3,000 meter hurdles – After a strong start to the race, he finished second in the race in a time of 8:26,27. Only beaten by the Spaniard Daniel Arce who ran to the finish after 8.25.88.

— I actually thought it would be possible – but doing it is a completely different matter. It feels great, he tells SVT.
