Kouvola’s Pallonlöjät beat Manse PP | Sports in a nutshell

One match was played in the men’s Superpesi on Friday, and two in the women’s Superpesi.

The Manse PP crew, which is number one in Superpesis point average, was the guest of Kouvola Ballonlöjie on Friday. KPL took its first three-point win of the season from the top seven, beating Tampere 2–0 (2–0, 2–0). In three-point situations, KPL was ahead 8–2.

– Our forwards made winning performances. Not everything was Manse’s weakness. There were several good shots that made pieces, commented the KPL game manager Petri Tuuva.

Manse PP and KPL meet next time on Saturday in Tampere.

Another loss for the nesting bears

In the Women’s Supernest, Pesäkarhut of Pori already suffered their fifth consecutive loss, when Lapuan Virkiä claimed a 2–0 (3–1, 4–2) victory over Pori. The visitors were especially in a strong hitting streak Riina Kerolawho hit Virkiä’s winning runs in both periods.

With their win, Virkia, which is third in the standings, moved within one point of Seinäjoki Maila-Jussi, who played one match more, and two points behind Manse PP, which is at the top.

In the second match of the evening, Joensuu Maila won at home against Vaasa Mailattaret 2–0 (7–3, 2–0). The people of Joensuu are fifth in the league table and the people of Vaasa are eighth.
