Kosovo staged a four goal night in football – the protest

Kosovo crushed Cyprus in the men’s Nations League on Monday.

The Kosovo national football team opened its victory account in the fall men’s League of Nations in a crushing way, when it beat Cyprus 4-0 in the C-League on Monday.

The striker who hit the posts twice in the first half in Larnaca excelled as Cyprus’ scorer Vedas Muriqi. The first goal of Muriq, who plays in Majorca, Spain, came from a penalty kick.

In the opening match of the second group of the C-League, Cyprus won 1-0 away from Lithuania, while Kosovo lost 0-3 at home to Romania, a visitor to the European Championship.

The match between Cyprus and Kosovo was stopped for a moment because the “Kosovo is Serbia” banner was displayed among the supporters of the home team.

The game continued after the police had removed the poster cloth from the stands. At that point, Kosovo was leading Cyprus by goals 2–0.

Serbia has not recognized the independence of Kosovo. Kosovo became independent from Serbia in 2008. There is a lot of tension between the two countries.
