Almost everywhere in Europe, democracies are faced with a crisis of confidence and populism. In the south-east of the region, many countries candidates for the European Union are causing treading in their reforms. A country is distinguished with real democratic advances: Kosovo. 26 years after the war with Serbia, this very young little country is the only one in the region to hold peaceful, entirely free and transparent elections, and this should still be the case with the legislative elections on Sunday, February 9.
