Korisliiga champion Nokia washed the throwing machine Antti Kanervo | Sports in a nutshell

Antti Kanervo returns to the domestic Korisliiga and joins the BC Nokia team.

BC Nokia, the champion of Korisliiga last season, has washed away an experienced long thrower Antti Kanervon. The club said on its website that it had signed a 1+1 year contract with Kanervo.

Kanervo, 35, debuted in the Korisliiga in the 2008–2009 season in the ranks of Kouvoi. He has played 541 matches in the main league in the shirt of Kouvo, Kataja, Kauhajoki and Seagulls and also played in the French ProB series and Iceland.

Kanervo has sunk 40 percent of his threes in the Korisliiga. He last played in the domestic premier league in the 2022–2023 season, when he represented the Seagulls.

Kanervo has represented Finland in 34 men’s national matches.
