Ex baseball player Konsta Kurikka moves to baseball in the German Bundeliga. Kurikka, who dreams of a baseball career, will join the ranks of the Munich Haar Disciples in the Bundesliga.
The 21-year-old Kurikka previously played in the Valencian Antorcha in Spain. In Spain, for the first time, he got to play and practice baseball regularly and drive himself into the world of a new sport.
– I expect my new club to have a more professional approach to both training and matches in relation to the Spanish series.
– Personally, I need more hard work, good coaching and gaining game experience. All of these are available in Munich, he says in a press release from the Finnish Baseball and Softball Association.
Kurikka will play his first official national matches in July, when Finland will face Lithuania, Switzerland and Romania at the European Championships.
Kurikka, one of Finland’s toughest baseball players, represented Symkamon Jymy on baseball fields.
