The police unions want football clubs, municipalities and the Eredivisie to take tougher measures against fan violence. “We are done with it. Look at how many fireworks come into the stadium, look at the face-covering clothing. It cannot be the case that we accept things going wrong every time around sports matches,” says director Ramon Meijerink of the ACP police union, also on behalf of the other unions.
