The wolf that killed five sheep in an attack in Ängelholm municipality last week has attacked livestock on several previous occasions, reports Helsingborgs Dagblad and Sydsvenskan.

DNA analyzes show that the wolf is behind eleven different attacks in Skåne, Kronoberg and Kalmar counties.

The county administrative boards in the three counties have announced a protective hunt for the wolf. But it is only in Kronoberg that the wolf may be hunted and then only if there is a new wolf attack.

In Skåne, the decision on protective hunting has expired and in Kalmar the court of appeals has stopped the hunt, writes the newspaper Jakt & Jägare.
