KNMI measures most solar radiation ever record broken in 1976

In 2085, the KNMI expects a normal value of 219 W/m2. This is an increase of more than 6 percent compared to now. “We therefore expect that the current trend of 3 percent per ten years will level off in the future because we will have more cloudy summer weather again. In addition to global warming caused by humans, natural variations in the weather continue to have a major influence on solar radiation, drought and temperature in the Netherlands,” according to the KNMI.
