A man has attacked another man in western Stockholm during the evening with a knife.
When he was about to be arrested, he carried the knife in his hand, and was shot in the leg by a police officer.
– The policeman who is supposed to make an arrest is forced to shoot him in the leg, now the man is arrested, says Carina Skagerlind, press spokesperson at the police.
The man who is attacked is seriously injured and has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
The place has been cordoned off for a technical examination and the police have started a preliminary investigation into attempted murder. The police have also questioned witnesses to the incident.
