One person has been injured by “a sharp blow” outside the police station in Norrköping, the police say. The extent of the damage is unclear.
Police have shot and hit the perpetrator. The suspect has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
Several police patrols were called to the police station and an area has been cordoned off.
A preliminary investigation is initially opened for attempted murder.
A witness tells Norrköping Tidningar that the police fired a shot at a man who tried to injure another person with a knife, just outside the entrance to the police station.
– It was like a movie, says the witness who saw the whole incident from his workplace.
