A 23-year-old man has been sentenced for a violent knife attack in Västerås. He is sentenced to eight years in prison for attempted murder.
In July, the 23-year-old attacked a friend at the travel centre. He stabbed the other several times in the face, neck and torso. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and underwent emergency surgery.
The 23-year-old, who is sentenced against his denial, must also pay SEK 250,000 in damages to the victim, local media reports.
