A knife attack was carried out at the entrance of the Schuman Train Station, located in the middle of the European Union (EU) Council and EU Commission buildings, in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, at around 18:00 local time.
While one person was injured in the attack, the police detained the attacker. Due to the attack, there was a delay of approximately 40 minutes in the train services at the station. The cause of the attack is not yet known.
In the footage recorded by the bystanders, it was seen that the two policemen aimed their guns at the attacker and called for him to surrender, while the attacker fell to the ground, throwing the knife in his hand. (UAV)
