Six people have been killed in an act of violence at a preschool in Guangdong province in southern China, local authorities say according to AFP.
The attack was carried out with a knife and happened shortly before 8 a.m. local time, according to the British BBC, which has spoken to Chinese police. It is described as a “deliberate” attack and a 25-year-old man has been arrested.
Among the victims are a teacher, two parents and three students, a spokesperson for the city’s authorities told AFP. Another person is said to have been injured.
