KLM against the Dutch government over the flight limit at

(Finance) – The limitation of the number of flights atAmsterdam Schiphol Airportstarting from 2024, is on the table of the Dutch government, but is the subject of strong dispute by the national carrier KLM and the operators of the airline sector.

Transport Minister Mark Harbers confirmed plans to impose the cap, with entered into force in 2024 subject to approval by the European Commission.

Ourania Georgoutsakou, General Manager of Airlines For Europe (A4E), spoke about arbitrary decision.

In a statement, KLM stressed that “the goals regarding noise may be better achievedto the benefit of local residents, the climate, airlines and the Dutch economy.”
