Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Air traffic is one of the most environmentally damaging we have. Despite this, Qatar Airways has chosen to introduce 160 flights, something that has been questioned by climate experts, especially in case all the planes will be fully booked.

The CEO of the company, Akbar Al Baker, defends the decision in an interview with CNN.

– Please, do not believe all the negative things that are written and said.

Qatar has one of the world’s largest carbon footprints per capita, and in terms of the country’s estimated amount of emissions, these flights are not included.

He emphasizes that Qatar Airways’ aircraft must be both fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly.

– In comparison with other airlines, there are very few emissions on our aircraft, both on short and long trips.

It is not clear how these aircraft will be more environmentally friendly than others, but the company’s website states that Qatar Airways has used 70 fuel optimization programs.

The flight routes will depart from Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait and back.
