Kleo makes it to the Netflix Olympus – even horror

The agent action Kleo with Jella Haase has become a big hit on Netflix. In addition to a major international breakthrough, the brightly colored series now has garnered rave reviews from horror master Stephen King.

Horror icon Stephen King calls Netflix hit Kleo a “breath of fresh air”

According to a press release, Kleo has international at the moment #4 most popular non-English language series on Netflix reached. A remarkable success for a series that is strongly tailored to German viewers with its theme between GDR and FRG.

For many fans, however, King’s praise will weigh more heavily. However, the celebrated horror author couldn’t help but worry about an inconsistency in the series on Twitter.

Kleo on Netflix: What a breath of fresh air! Exciting and very funny. I wonder where Kleo got all the money from though. Flying to Mallorca can’t have been cheap, even in 1989. Ah, whatever. Enjoy [die Serie] easy. When is Kleo season 2 coming to Netflix?

With so much international recognition, a continuation of the series is not unlikely, especially since season 1 ends on a cliffhanger. So far, however, Netflix has not confirmed further episodes.
