The country’s largest reactor, Oskarshamn 3, is about to go into full operation – which affects the price of electricity.
According to the electricity exchange Nord Pool, prices will drop throughout the country; in the north, at the time of writing, electricity is traded for 87 öre per kilowatt hour and in the south for 1.94 kroner per kilowatt hour.
The trend is expected to continue during the coming week, which is partly due to the fact that Oskarshamn 3 will soon be in full operation and partly to the weather becoming milder.
– There will be some breathing space this week, which means a little more money left for the Christmas gift trade, says electricity analyst Christian Holtz.
