And yes, this year Kirby celebrates its three decades, and not in any way, with the release of a new game, Kirby and the Forgotten World, a 3D adventure mixing exploration and action. This new creation from Nintendo is an event awaited by many fans of the venerable character, including those who have made him their favorite character in the Smash games, namely the best. It’s true that Kirby got his start on older systems, and much like a certain mustachioed plumber, he got his start on two-dimensional platformers. And just like that Italian plumber, Kirby is now making his debut in a 3D game. That is to say that you will control the adorable little ball role in the third person, camera in the back and fixed. Indeed, the camera imposes an angle of view on you, therefore difficult to explore the world at your leisure, which makes Kirby and the Forgotten World a game of adventure and action in 3D, failing to approach the open world principle. On the story side, Kirby and the Forgotten World is in the post apocalyptic. Far from approaching Mad Max, the game transports us to a new world, via a vortex that appeared on the world of Popstar. This Forgotten and desert World is home to Waddle-Dee, adorable creatures that Kirby will try to save from the pack of beasts. The Forgotten World presents different levels where nature has taken over civilization. The saved Waddle-Dee gather in a village that the player can develop according to his desire, Animal Crossing-style.

If it does not necessarily make the headlines like Elden Ring, Kirby and the Forgotten World is still an event release, and presents itself as a must-have title on Nintendo Switch. Its release date is set for March 25, 2022, an appointment not to be missed under any circumstances for all fans of the Nintendo universe, or players simply wishing to immerse themselves in a light adventure, alone or in pairs in a universe unpublished. Indeed, Kirby and the Forgotten World will offer two-player cooperative gameplay on the local screen.
