Kingmakers lets you fight knights and tear down houses with your tank – the new trailer excites fans

Kingmakers is an upcoming game on Steam that has garnered quite a bit of attention since its announcement. A new trailer has now been released that impressively shows what the game’s physics engine is capable of. Essential: a tank.

What is Kingmakers? The game from developer Redemption Road was presented with a first trailer in February and immediately excited players.

The second trailer also created a hype and achieved around 17 million views in a short time. The interest is probably due to Kingmakers’ unusual game concept. The game mixes medieval battles with modern weapons.

It looks like the player from the present will travel back in time and bring back some powerful weapons. When they meet sword, lance and crossbow, there is a huge crash. The previous trailers have already shown this.

The new one, however, goes one step further. Among other things, a tank drives through the medieval scenario. Yes, you read that right, a tank.

Kingmakers shows off its impressive physics engine

What can you see in the new trailer? While the first trailer fooled its viewers and started off leisurely, the new one takes no prisoners. A motorcycle races through the picture with the character sitting on it. Armed to the teeth, she plunges into the medieval battle.

There is also a grenade launcher that tears down parts of buildings. The game’s physics engine becomes even more impressive when a tank suddenly appears and fires at distant castle towers. The shot hits and the masonry collapses.

The same thing happens to the residential buildings that the tank simply drives through. They collapse in on themselves, which already seems very satisfying. Always there: The up to 4,000 NPCs who take part in the battles. So there’s a lot going on on the screen. Kingmakers could be a game that puts a lot of strain on the PC hardware.

How do fans react to the trailer? Kingmakers’ concept seems to continue to convince the community. This time the focus is primarily on the destruction shown in the game.

The players have their say under the trailer on YouTube:

  • “Better destruction than in Battlefield,” writes user @TobiNoFrAg.
  • “With the Abrams (tank) alone, you’re a one-man army,” says @countdankula2081.
  • “Historically accurate,” writes @user-hx5bx1lg9w with a wink.
  • “I hope there’s a demo coming soon,” says @dmxdxl.
  • “Please bring it to the console,” begs @vaultveteran3368.
  • Because Kingmakers has so far only been announced for the PC and will appear there on Steam. There is currently no exact date for publication.

But that should happen in 2024, and the game will initially appear in Early Access. Are you looking forward to Kingmakers? Do you have any special wishes for the game?
