Kingdom Come 2 is postponing the release and solving a problem for many players

One of the most anticipated titles for role-playing game fans has news: Not only is the release being postponed again, players can also expect new information and trailers in the coming days.

Which game are you talking about? If you like realistic role-playing games with a medieval setting, you can hardly avoid Kingdom Come Deliverance. The first part, which was released in 2018, impressed with its authentic scenario and the detailed implementation of the game world and gameplay mechanics. Even though the game as a whole could have used a little more polish, it is considered a hot tip among genre fans.

It’s no surprise that the successor is also expected by many players. The developers at Warhorse Studios recently celebrated a milestone: their game was wishlisted by over a million Steam users.

Apart from that, the developers have important news regarding the release.

In the gameplay trailer, Warhorse Studios shows more of the game – and spoils its fans with it:

What new information is there? In a video on x.com, Warhorse Studios’ PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, talks about the current status. The game is now almost finished and they are looking forward to showing it to the fans.

The original release on February 11, 2024 will not be adhered to. This is shocking at first, as Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has already been postponed in the past.

However, the developers give the all-clear: the role-playing game will not be released later, but a week earlier. The time has come on February 4th, 2024. Tobias Stolz-Zwilling gives the reason that “2025 can start with the best game”.

By the way, the postponement means that Warhorse Studios is avoiding some other big titles. February is pretty busy: Civilization VII is released on February 11th, the original date for Kingdom Come 2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Avowed follow shortly afterwards, and Monster Hunter Wilds awaits players at the end of the month.

Those who are waiting for several of these titles will at least have a little more time for Kingdom Come – problem solved!

What else are the developers revealing? But the postponement of the game is not everything. Warhorse announces December 5th. a new story trailer. In addition, the system requirements for PC and consoles will also be published.

The story surrounding Heinrich will be continued in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and should seamlessly follow on from the finale of Part 1. Have you played the predecessor? Feel free to tell us what you think about it in the comments. Compared to its predecessor, Part 2 will be even larger and more extensive.
