King python is a relatively common snake to have locked in a terrarium – but it hardly belongs on the roads in Norrbotten.
It was on Wednesday that Dan Andersson received a call from a person who thought he ran over the snake and that it was dead, but after seeing a picture of the snake, he was able to ascertain that it was alive:
– It had rolled up into a ball and that is a normal defence.
Dan Andersson, who is a devoted herpetologist, rushed to the scene, but by then the snake was already dead.
Dan Andersson took the snake home which he now keeps in his freezer at home.
– It cannot lie littering the road, he says.
