Norway’s King Harald has tested positive for covid-19, the Norwegian royal house announces on its website.

The king has symptoms of a cold and is on sick leave from his duties until he is symptom-free, the royal house writes.

86-year-old King Harald has been ill several times over the past year. He has received hospital treatment and antibiotic courses on several occasions due to infections, most recently in May when he was admitted to the Rikshospitalet in Oslo for just over a week.
