The cancer diagnosis of Britain’s King Charles was announced at the beginning of February.
King Charles will go public today, Sunday, after a long period of silence. Charles attends his wife Camilla’s with for the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
The service is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Finnish time. The live broadcast starts at 12:45.
Broadcasting company BBC characterizes the performance as the king’s most significant since the beginning of February, when it was reported that he was suffering from cancer. Charles has continued to work despite the diagnosis, but so far he has been working privately.
According to the BBC, the king’s participation in the service is seen as an encouraging sign of his health. However, it does not mean a return to public duties.
Other members of the royal family will also attend the service, but the Prince and Princess of Wales will not be seen at the event. Princess Catherine told about his own cancer diagnosis and treatments last week.
