County Governor Anna Kinberg Batra (M) herself decided on the salary of SEK 88,000 a month for her friend. It appears in internal emails that are part of the Judicial Ombudsman’s (JO) investigation, reports Aftonbladet.
JO is reviewing three different recruitments that Kinberg Batra made as governor of Stockholm County – people with whom she is reportedly friends. One of the positions was advertised only by placing an advertisement in the county administrative office’s reception, the other position was never advertised and in the third case it was a person without the right credentials who got the job.
Aftonbladet writes that the governor himself made the decision about the salary for the position that was announced via the advertisement in the reception, which is also confirmed by county director Åsa Ryding and communications manager Jonas Johansson in an email to the newspaper.
“The salary was decided by the hiring manager, i.e. Anna Kinberg Batra,” writes Johansson.
