Källström gets a key position.
“The reason why I take this role is because I have been passionate about Swedish football since I was little and it has been an honor to play for the Swedish national team. It’s an incredible opportunity to have this trust after a career as a player.”
“I have my thoughts on what needs to be done, but there may be employees who have other ideas. It will be super important to listen to others who have experiences that I myself don’t have,” says Källström to the association’s website.

After his long playing career, Källström has, among other things, attended management training at Uefa, practiced at SvFF and was involved in the association’s project around a new national team center.
“We need to set out a new path for Swedish football. What that path should look like must evolve. But one thing that is important to me is that the Swedish Football Association focuses on football, that it should be as good as possible across the country,” he says.
