In the early 20th century, oil brought great wealth to the Osage Nation, and they became overnight one of the wealthiest peoples in the world. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white invaders, who manipulated the people, extorted them, and stole as much money from the Osage as they could – until they even resorted to murder. Against this background, Killers of the Flower Moon tells an epic western crime saga based on the unusual love between Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), in which true love and an unfathomable betrayal collide.
