Albacete has achieved three important points this Saturday after defeating the leader by the minimum in the Carlos Belmonte. The match began with rhythm and with chances from both teams, since in the first minute, Alberto Jiménez finished off with a header after a Kike Márquez free-kick.
The following minute, Villarreal responded with a one-on-one from Arana against Bernabé, but his Vaseline went wide of the La Mancha goal. The game was back and forth and in the 12th minute, Manu Fuster tried it with a shot from the edge of the area but it was saved by Jorgensen.
In the 17th minute, the local team took the lead when Kike Márquez converted a penalty committed after touching a rival player with his hand inside the area a shot by Sergi García.
