Baarn – In a few years cyclists will be able to cover the 19 kilometers from Amersfoort to Hilversum at lightning speed. Today the kick-off for the new ‘cycle route’ is given with a signature in the Royal Waiting Room at the station in Baarn. “We are going to connect two provinces, or four municipalities,” says deputy Arne Schaddelee about the plans. “That will be a very nice route along Soest and Baarn. Through the woods, through the fields. Really from the center of Amersfoort to the station in Hilversum.” The route should be completed in 2027.
