The case, which has occupied the gaming world for a long time, has been concluded. The FTC and Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard lawsuit has been decided.
It has been a long time since Microsoft announced that it would acquire Activision Blizzard. It was already obvious that such a big purchase would move the stones in the game world. Naturally, we witnessed from time to time that Sony put forward different conditions during the litigation process. The lawsuit, which is so important, was concluded and the lawsuit was decided in favor of Microsoft.
Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard lawsuit finally settled
Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley ruled in Microsoft’s favor, rejecting the FTC’s request for injunctive relief. Thus, the biggest obstacle in purchasing Activison Blizzard was overcome.
Of course, one of the biggest obstacles has been removed, but after the legal dispute with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), Microsoft has other obstacles to overcome, such as the UK Competitive Markets Authority (CMA). The decision of this court will be given on 4 August. Of course, the FTC decision is likely to be a precedent.
Last month, Microsoft and the FTC faced off in court, where many important decisions concerning the gaming world emerged. During the four-day court process, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan admitted that he did not find Starfield exclusive to the Xbox console “uncompetitive”, but he had important requests, especially on the Call of Duty side.
