Kerttu Niskanen is in a good mood on the eve of the final weekend of the World Cup. The Finnish skier has already competed in 30 World Cup competitions this season and assures that he can still do it.
– After all, there has been a lot of skiing here, but there is no terrible fatigue. I already said at the beginning of the season that I will try to persevere and ski all individual World Cup races, because there are no value races.
However, a stomach bug, which struck Oberhof in January, got in the way of the goal. At that time, one sprint race was missed.
During this season, the skier registered only one relay race start. Among other things, ‘s expert Ville Nousiainen has highlighted Niskanen’s reluctance to participate in the messages.
Niskasen had a say in this under Falun’s competitions.
– Anyone can try to jump into my pants and ski even this amount. Yes, in my opinion, they have worked hard here. When you want to try for the best possible result, you also have to know how to cut back what you can.
Even though Niskanen has been able to achieve good results when he is mostly healthy, the rankings are not satisfactory.
The Finnish skier is currently fifth in the distance cup and sixth overall in the world cup. Last year, Niskanen won the distance cup and finished third in the overall competition.

– The competition is sure to be tough. It doesn’t matter who is the winner, everything has to be nailed down. No one is so superior that, for example, they can get by with bad skis.
In an interview with , Niskanen also heard from an expert Aino-Kaisa Saarinen bitter comments. Saarinen has suspected that Niskanen’s condition was left in North America in February.
The Finnish skier is laughed at, but the answer is a joke.
– Old age must have come on that Aiku, is he seeing wrong? Someone mentioned that the condition was already left for the Tour, but in my opinion, quite a good pace has still been found. The mood of the day makes a difference, no matter what your condition is.
