Kerstin Stålhammar, 86, appears in the second season of Hotel romance. During the season, she has become one of the show’s strongest characters, with her exuberant personality and zest for adventure. Despite a mostly positive experience, there are actually things that Kerstin regrets today.
News24 has spoken to Kerstin, who reveals what she would like to take back.

Kerstin says that she lied about her age to both the production and the participants in Hotel Romantik, which Nyheter24 has previously reported on. Although Kerstin said she was 75, and not 85, as she actually was, the truth came out during the recording.
– It was a shame, but it was my own fault, says Kerstin to Nyheter24.
Kerstin thinks she would have had more luck with the men if it weren’t for the age difference between her and the men, because she believes that men rarely want an older woman. If she had been allowed to choose, no one would have known her age.
– That’s what I’m looking to show, that age has no meaning. I want to show that there are people like me left, who can stand on their feet and not be in pain when they are 86 like I am now.

“Would have liked to be more…”
The revelation about the age is actually not the only thing that Kerstin would have done differently if she had participated in Hotel romance again. She had also wanted to spend more time with the girls, as the friendships she formed in the show today are important to her.
– I don’t know where all the time disappeared, maybe I was in sync and talking. I spent a lot of time in sync, but I would have liked to have been with the girls a little more, says Kerstin and continues:
– They are fantastic. We meet from time to time in Stockholm for food and a few drinks and ventilate.
The week in Portugal was fun, but very intense, says Karin. For example, when she came down to the pool after recording a sync, she discovered that the whole group was in the pool playing with a watermelon. Kerstin, who loves activities, was then disappointed that she missed something so fun.
– I went completely insane then. Joining the pool with the oiled melon would have been fun. But the guys were so tall and I’m short, so the thought disappeared pretty quickly.
When Kerstin thinks back, Hotel Romantik is a very positive experience, which she could imagine doing again.
– Then I would be even more attached, and spend more time with the girls, says Kerstin and laughs.
