In Kenya, thousands of secondary school students are still deprived of classes. The teachers’ strike entered its second week on Monday, September 2. The Kenya Union of Secondary School Teachers (Kuppet), which initiated the protest movement, is demanding, among other things, the permanent status of trainee teachers, salary increases for teachers and better working conditions.
